Martha Cover, Co-Chair
Martha was called to the Bar in 1979 and has been a child law specialist since 1990. She has been Head of Chambers at Coram and also one of the Chairs of the Association of Lawyers for Children since 2010.

Debbie Singleton, Co-Chair
Debbie has specialised in family law since she qualified in 1994. She joined the National Youth Advocacy Service (NYAS), a UK charity providing children's rights and socio-legal services in 2003 and has been a Director of Legal Services there since 2008. She is currently Co-Chair of the Association of Lawyers for Children.

Frances Edwards, Past President
Frances joined CILEx in 1992 and qualified as a Fellow in 2000. Frances has been a CILEx Council Member for Wales since July 2008 and was President of CILEx in 2014-15. Frances is currently employed by Caswell Jones Solicitors in Caerphilly where she has worked since 1995 as a member of the family team.

Gillian Douglas, Editor
Gillian is Executive Dean, Dickson Poon School of Law, King’s College London. She is the co- author ofBromley’s Family Law as well as being an Editor of the Child and Family Law Quarterly and a Case Reports Editor for Family Law.

Rebecca Probert, Editor
Rebecca teaches family law at the University of Warwick. She has written on all aspects of modern family law and her publications include Cretney and Probert's Family Law and Marriage Law and Practice in the Long Eighteenth Century: A Reassessment.

Jonathan Herring, Editor
Jonathan is Professor of Law at Exeter College, Oxford and has written a popular textbook on family law as well as editing several books on theoretical issues in family law. He is a member of the editorial board for the Family Court Reports and is an editor for the Child and Family Law Quarterly.

Philip Marshall QC, Chair
Philip Marshall QC is Joint Head of Chambers at 1 King’s Bench Walk, Temple. He has extensive experience of complex “big money” matrimonial disputes at all levels, many with an international or jurisdictional element and is Chairman of the Family Law Bar Association.

Elizabeth Walsh, Editor
Elizabeth is the editor of Family Law and assistant editor of International Family Law. She is a solicitor and family mediator as well as a Trustee of National Family Mediation, Thames Valley Family Mediation Service and Chiltern Child Contact Centre. She is a Family Magistrate and former Mayor of Amersham.

Edward Bennett, Editor
Edward was called to the Bar in 2013, having previously qualified as a solicitor with Allen & Overy. He was awarded the Young Family Law Barrister of the Year award in 2015 and has been General Editor of the International Family Law Journal since January 2015.

Rebecca Bailey-Harris, Editor
Rebecca is a barrister at 1 Hare Court having previously been an academic lawyer with positions including Foundation Professor and Dean of Law at the Flinders University of South Australia and Professor of Law at the University of Bristol where she also served as Dean of the Faculty of Law. 

Caroline Bridge, Editor
Caroline is a case editor of Family Law and editor of the Family Law Reports. She is a Fellow of the Faculty of Law at the University of Manchester and is a barrister and solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand. 

Nigel Lowe, Editor
Nigel has been a Professor of Law at Cardiff Law School since 1991 and Head of School since 2010. He has written extensively and is an editor of Family Law Reports, a consultant editor of International Family Law and is a member of the editorial board for Child and Family Law Quarterly.

Greg Woodgate, Family Law Publisher
Greg trained as a barrister before joining Jordan Publishing in 1997 as the in-house editor of The Family Court Practice (The Red Book). From 2004 Greg managed the market-leading Family Law list and is responsible for commissioning and developing products for the practice areas of Family Law and the Court of Protection.

Geraldine Morris, Head of LexisPSL Family
Geraldine is Head of Lexis®PSL Family. She was admitted as a solicitor in 1992 and was in practice for 15 years, most recently as a partner and head of the family team at Hart Brown, a large Surrey firm. She is the editor of Family Law Journal and a past editor of the Resolution Review.

Martin Barnes
Martin is Chief Executive of LawWorks (the Solicitors Pro Bono Group). Following experience in the advice sector (including at a Citizens Advice Bureau), he subsequently spent over 5 years as CEO of the Child Poverty Action Group and a further 10 years as CEO of DrugScope. Martin is a trustee of the Advice Services Alliance and was formerly a trustee of the charity Family Action.

Jess Campbell
Jess is Chief Executive of the Bar Pro Bono Unit, before which she spent five years at the Bar Council as head of policy for regulatory issues and law reform.

Nick Hanning
Nick has been a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives since 1990. In 2009 he was the first Legal Executive to become a partner in a solicitors' practice and is currently a partner at Dutton Gregory Solicitors. He is Chair of the CILEx Pro Bono Trust and a Trustee of the Bar Pro Bono Unit.

Nigel Shepherd, Chair
Nigel is a specialist family lawyer with over 35 years’ experience who is National Head of Family Law at Mills & Reeve. He has been a member of Resolution for over 25 years and is currently Chair, making him the only person ever to have held this position twice.
